Still we give recommendation  to go Gokyo valley and Gokyo ri which is more scenic than Everest base camp.

Thu Nov 3: Trek from Jiri to Shivalaya or Deorali

Fri Nov 4: Trek from Shivalaya or Deorali to Sete(2520m)

Sat Nov 5: Trek from Sete via Lamjura La(3400m) same height as Namche Bazzar then down to Junbesi(2580m),

Sun Nov 6: Trek from Junbesi to Traksindo-la (3071m), then down to Nuntala (2330m),

Mon Nov 7: Trek from Nunthala to Bupsa (2360), crossing the Dudh Koshi river at Jubhing(1505m)

Tue Nov 8: Trek from Bupsa to Cheplung (2600m), 3 km north of Lukla (2840m)

Wed Nov 9: Trek from Chaplung to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Thu Nov 10: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

Fri Nov 11: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche(3867m)

Sat Nov 12: Trek from Tengboche to Pheriche (4252m)

Sun Nov 13: Trek from Pheriche to Lobuche(4930m)

Mon Nov 14: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5200m)

Tue Nov 15: Climb Kala Patthar (5,644 m, 18,519') and visit Everest Base Camp (5545m). Trek to Dzongla (5420m)

Wed Nov 16: Trek from Dzongla through Cho La Pass (5330m) to Gokyo (4790m)

Thu Nov 17: Visit Gokyo Lake(4750m) and Gokyo Ri. Overnight in Gokyo.

Fri Nov 18: Trek from Gokyo to Machermo(4410m)

Sat Nov 19: Trek from Machermo to Phortse (3810m)

Sun Nov 20: Trek from Phortse to Namche Bazaar

Mon Nov 21: Rest day in Namche Bazaar or trek to Phakding (2652m)

Tue Nov 22: Trek from Namche Bazaar or Phakding to Lukla (2800m)

Wed Nov 23: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Morning flight.

  • Faq about jiri-everest base camp-Chola pass Trek

  • 1.What is the coldest temperature we will encounter at Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar at night? How warm will it get during the day?

-In the october night temperature at kalapather and gorkshep is about -3 to -8, Day temperature is up to 8 to 12 degree.


  • 2.What will the temperatures be from Jiri to Lukla? Day? Night?

-Jiri to lukla tempeature is in average 8 degree in the night 25 degree in the day temperature



  • 3.Do we need to make reservations at teahouses on the trail from Jiri to Lukla? Or do we just show up somewhere in the evening and hope they have a room?

Jiri to lukla have no any problem , there are less trekkers in comparison from up to lukla. so, it is very easily can get room.


  • 4.How likely is it that we will have to stay in a tent at Pangboche, Loboche and Gorak Shep? Is it first come, first served at those locations? Do you have to get there first in the day to get a room? Can you reserve a room in advance? Can I pay extra and get at the front of the line? (Baksheesh).

-There are depend upon the situation. Normally, Tanbouche where is monastery there are full tourist in the season, They manages the Tents themselves. Some travellers like to go from Namche to panbouche, panbouche have a many hotels there is no problem as Tanbouche. pheriche or dinbouche have no problem the room, after namche bazzar people have a rest point , there are choose either they can stay in pheriche, or dinbouche, it is just 30 minutes different.

In the loboche, more tourist, to get the room it is depend upon condition. when we go we know the condition, sometimes we have to join fellow travellers for booking the room. There are group trekkers, and their leaders, we have to request them to reservation the room. situation and condition knowing one camp before. suppose when we are in the pheriche, we know the condition about the loboche, some travellers come back. other things Hotel owners can help to book the next camp. yes, as you say sometimes people accept Baksheesh.


  • 5.It is wise to pack sneakers along with the hiking boots? Or do you recommend hiking boots the whole way from Jiri to Kala Patthar?

-There are two pairs of the shores needed normally, Hiking shores and normal shoes.


  • 6.Do you recommend fleece lined pants or will blue jeans and thermal underwear be enough to keep my legs warm?

- yes, it is needed fleece lined pants, blue jeans and thermal underwear three things needed. can use alternatively, even day time temperature might be changed.


7.Do teahouses have pillows on the beds?

-yes, tea house hava a pillows on the beds.
