Trekking permits are no longer required for most areas , including all the standard routes in the annapurna, everest and langtang/Helambu/Godaikunda areas. it is necessary National park Entry fee in Langtang, Helambu, Everest which cost us$15.

Trekking permits are still required for treks that pass through certain remote areas, and these can only be arranged through registered agencies-and, in practice, on fully equipped camping treks. The fee-paying areas are :Lower Dolpo, in the northwest, Kanchenjunga, in the far northeast and Gauri shankar, just west of Everest region($10 per person per week),Chekampar and chunchet, below Ganesh Himal, north of Gorkha(sept-Nov $35 per person for 8 days, Dec-Aug$25),Manaslu, just east of Annapurna (sept-Nov $70 per person for a week, then $10 per day, Dec-Aug $50, simikot in far western humla district,on the way to mount Kailas and Tibet($50 per week, Then $ 7 per day). At the top scale are Mustang, north of Annapurna , and upper dolpo ($500 per person for the firs ten days, therafter $50 per day).

 

The Timms Card

since 2008, trekkers have been obliged to provide themselves with a TIMS card. The Trekkers information system is designed to make sure the government knows if a trekkers goes missing or needs rescuing, and to keep an eye on rougue companies. on organized tours his will be done for you by the agency. It cost $20 for the individual trekkers , for the group trekkers it is include in the package programmae.

 

Trekking Permit Fee

1. Lower Dolpo, Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar and Lamabagar
Equivalent to US $ 10 per person per week

  1. Manaslu
    US$ 50(Dec-Aug) per person per week and US$ 7 for each extra day US$
    70(Sep-Nov) per person per week. and US$ 10 for each extra day
  2. Humla - Simikot - Yari
    US$ 50 per person per week. For 7 days and US$ 7 per person per extra day
  3. Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo
    US$ 500 per person for the first ten days and US$ 50 per person per day
    thereafter.
  4. Chekampar and Chunchet of Gorkha district
    (Sirdibas-Lhokpa-Chumling-Chekampar-Nile-Chule)
    US$ 35 (Sep-Nov) per person for 8 days
    US$ 25 (Dec-Aug) ) per person for 8 days
